Galvus (Vildagliptin): Galvus is in a new class of drugs called DPP-4 Inhibitors, which are used to treat Type 2 diabetes. Galvus can be used in combination with other diabetic drug medications and has been approved for use in Europe. Taking medication is not a guarantee that blood sugar levels will be kept at acceptable levels; diabetics need to test their blood sugar with either a blood glucose meter or blood sugar monitor.
