Now in its seventh year, the Diabetes 2008 program consists of newsletters and tests presented in a monograph twice each year based on highlights from meetings of the

* 57th Annual Scientific Sessions of the American Cardiology Association held March 29 - April 1, 2008 in Chicago, Illinois
* 68th Annual Scientific Sessions of the American Diabetes Association held June 6-10, 2008 in San Francisco, California
* 44th Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) held September 7-11, 2008 in Rome, Italy
* 2008 Annual Scientific Sessions of the American Heart Association held November 8 - 12, 2008 in New Orleans, Louisiana

Every four years, the program also includes coverage from the International Diabetes Federation Congress.

Developed by Robert S. Sherwin MD and Silvio E. Inzucchi MD, of the Yale School of Medicine Endocrinology Section of Internal Medicine, Diabetes 2008 is a series of daily newsletters summarizing the latest scientific data and information on diabetes presented during the four leading international diabetes scientific meetings mentioned above. Diabetes 2008 will provide physicians with valuable information regardless of whether they attend the meetings.

Presently, these newsletters are emailed or faxed to physicians daily during the meetings. Shortly after the meetings conclude, participants will receive a Diabetes 2008 monograph in the mail. Both the newsletters and the monographs are available in the listing in the right column of this page. One monograph will include data from the ACC and ADA meetings and the other will include data from the EASD and AHA meetings. Upon successful completion of the post-test, physicians can earn up to 5.5 AMA PRA Category 1 credits™ for each test.

The online test for CME credit may be accessed here.
