Kid Care CHIP
n 1997, Congress created Title XXI of the Social Security Act to provide healthcare for the growing number of uninsured children in the United States. This legislation provided states with the opportunity to create programs to increase access to affordable health insurance. In Wyoming this is called Kid Care CHIP.

Kid Care CHIP offers health insurance coverage for Wyoming’s children and teens through age 19 that are uninsured and meet income and eligibility guidelines that are not eligible for
Wyoming EqualityCare (Medicaid).
