Do you have a Facebook page?? We now have the capacity to link your Walk Central page with your Facebook profile. This will allow you to have your fundraising thermometer AND a "Donate Now" button visible to all your Facebook friends!
Upcoming Community Outreach Events
Babysitters Class Monday, April 6, 2009, 6:30-8:00 pm, Intermountain Medical Center Education Center (5121 Cottonwood St, Murray)
This event gives families the opportunity to get their caregivers educated on babysitting their diabetic child! A GREAT event to bring grandparents, aunts and uncles, youth & teen-aged babysitters, etc. to so you can feel comfortable leaving your child in the care of someone else! PLEASE RSVP to the JDRF office by April 2, 2009.
Vendor Health Fair May 6 & 7, 2009 (Tri-County & Utah County)
For this event, we arrange to have some of our local diabetes vendors in attendance to present to you about some of their diabetes care products. This is a wonderful way to acquaint yourself to the newest products and learn more about different ways to care for your children. Volunteer Opportunities
We are always looking for volunteers to help with our events! If you are interested in volunteering, we would LOVE to have your help! Please contact the chapter office for information about volunteer opportunities. Opportunities include: event committees, office help, family team network, etc. We look forward to talking to you!
With your help, we are moving research from the laboratory bench to the patient's bedside, translating scientific advances into longer, healthier lives for those with diabetes. With your help, we are moving closer to our goal ... a cure for diabetes and its complications.
