When I found out several years ago that I was diabetic, I became an avid "label reader". I spent 2 days at the grocery store reading labels, and discovered that there is very little out there I was allowed to eat. Then I found a bottle of salad dressing that had no sugar, no fats, and no carbs. I got it home, tasted it, and found it had another "no"....no taste. There was one thing it did have however - a nasty aftertaste.
That is how I came to make my own salad dressings that had no fat, no carbs and no sugar. Just fresh, all natural ingredients and my own blend of spices. Back in the early 1990's I started making it at home, just for myself and a few friends and family. Over the years I got more demand for it from all my friends, diabetic or not, and was encouraged by them to start selling to the public. The name "Awesome" was suggested by my friends, who said my salad dressings had an awesome flavor, and ought to be put on the bottle.
And so the enterprise was set in motion, from the kitchen in my home to our factory in Moraine, Ohio.
