The Goal of Billings Clinic Pediatric Diabetes Program

The Pediatric Diabetes Center at Billings Clinic is a comprehensive program for type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, and metabolic syndrome. The goal of the Pediatric Diabetes Center team is to improve the quality of life for each pediatric diabetes patient and family member in caring for and controlling diabetes through education, medications and use of the most current technology, including insulin pump therapy.

One-third of our patients use insulin pump therapy, which has been successful in decreasing the level of stress for the patient and family members on a day-to-day basis. The insulin pump improves the control of the blood sugar level and reduces the chances of long-term complications.

Billings Clinic Pediatric Diabetes Center has the largest pediatric diabetes program in Montana and Wyoming with over 200 children, teens and young adults undergoing treatment.
