About Us

Juvenile diabetes is the most common chronic disease of childhood. Throughout the United States, one in 500 children suffers from juvenile diabetes. In Arizona, that number is one in 400, and in some Native American communities, the number is as high as one in 200. Juvenile diabetes can be controlled, but the consequences of the treatment take their toll. The disease is complex and complications are common.

Camp Casey provides a comprehensive setting with a staff of medical experts striving to work in conjunction with the child’s current medical providers. The camp’s staff consists of a pediatric endocrinologist, a diabetes educator and counselor, an optometrist, podiatrist, audiologist, dietician and nurses experienced in diabetes. These professionals supervise the children’s treatment as well as their daily activities.

In addition to medical support, Camp Casey offers motivation, inspiration and education to children with diabetes in the beautiful surroundings of Oak Creek Canyon nestled in the magnificent red rocks of Sedona. Camp Casey is located at Living Springs Camp three miles north of Sedona on 3500 North Hwy. 89A, Sedona, Arizona 86336.
