The Diabetes Family Weekend at Rocky Gap Resort is a weekend for children ages 3-12 with diabetes and their families. Because managing diabetes often requires a change in lifestyle, family support is needed. Many activities of daily living must be considered, including the food we eat, necessary medication, and activity levels. Setebaid Services®, in cooperation with O’Leary’s Clover Farm, hosts this weekend to serve the families and children living with diabetes. The primary purpose of the weekend is to establish a network of support and assist families to cope with the daily struggles of living with diabetes. Rocky Gap Resort is located off Maryland I-68 (Exit #50) and is approximately two hours from Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD, and Pittsburgh, PA. The resort is the only Jack Nicklaus signature golf resort in Maryland.
