Who We Are
Families Living with Diabetes (FLWD) is a family sponsored support group designed to provide resources and support to all families living with Type 1 Diabetes. Our goal is to assist families in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky areas stay informed about diabetes technology, research and fundraising. Ultimately, FLWD has become a place where families, both parents and children, have had the opportunity to connect with each other through sharing our unique experiences as we live with Type 1 Diabetes.
What To Expect
Families Living with Diabetes has grown since its creation in 2004 from just a few parents connecting with one another to share experiences about living with Type 1 to almost 200 families. Our website goal is to connect you to various websites that offer information about diabetes technology, research and fundraising. You will also find our monthly meeting schedule including date, place, time and topic and/or speaker. And since we like to have fun, we hope to include some pictures of the people and events that show what our group is all about so be sure to check in from time to time for updates.
