Idaho Diabetes and Endocrine Associates P.A., under the direction of Dr. T. Steven Roosevelt, M.D., Ph.D. , is Idaho's foremost clinic for the treatment of diabetes and other endocrine disorders.
Dr. Roosevelt's years of experience, the friendly and caring staff, and a comfortable modern clinic all contribute to the professional and effective treatment provided.
Our Role
In order to make your experience as a patient as positive as possible, we offer the following suggestions to help you understand your role in your health care.
We will only treat your endocrine and metabolic related disorders. This means that we will advise you and, if requested by you, your primary care physician about certain problems or questions in your case. We will only focus on those questions and issues that are related to diabetes or other endocrine or metabolic disorders. For a list of endocrine related disorders check here.
In most cases our role does not extend beyond helping you treat these specific problems. Thus, we may not focus on other issues that may be important to you, or we may tell you that the symptoms for which you have consulted us are not explained by a problem in the field of diabetes, endocrinology or metabolism. We may refer those problems back to your primary doctor. This does NOT mean that we are not concerned about you or that we are rushing you. It only means that the problems that are referred back to your primary care physician do not fall into our area of expertise.
Our role as your endocrine consultant also means that we do not comment on treatments prescribed by other doctors, especially for problems that do not fall within our area of medical practice. We suggest that patients ask any questions to the doctor who may have prescribed the treatment for a problem not within our area of medicine.
