The Maine Center for Diabetes strives to be a center of excellence in diabetes care. We are strongly committed to our collaborative initiatives with primary care physicians in providing a caring, individualized, multidisciplinary team approach to the unique health problems encountered by people living with diabetes. Our goal is to empower individuals with diabetes and their families to become knowledgeable, active participants in their health care.
Our staff of endocrinologists maintain status of recognized providers by the American Diabetes Association. Our provision of care is augmented with an interdisciplinary team of nurse practitioners and certified diabetes educators. Our comprehensive diabetes education program is also recognized by the American Diabetes Association.
