It's time to Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes!

The American Diabetes Association is on a quest to cure diabetes, but we can't reach our goal without your help. If you start to think "I'm just one person,"—think again! Your efforts, combined with those from around the nation, will take us one step closer to a cure. This fall, 200,000 walkers will gather in more than 150 cities to Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes. Routes range from two to six miles and are accessible to people of all ages and levels of mobility. Enjoy the company of friends both old and new as your community takes a stand against diabetes. Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes, formerly America's Walk for Diabetes, is about changing the face of diabetes in our country—by raising funds to help find a cure and by walking a few miles to bring a greater awareness to this devastating disease.

Step Out is a whirlwind day packed with energy, fun, support for others and a perfect amount of selfless dedication. Anyone can take part in Step Out—your participation isn't measured by your dexterity or the speed you walk, but by the level of your enthusiasm and your commitment to ending diabetes.
