Utah Medicaid
Family Medicaid (FM-o) covers low income families with children, including children who live with a relative (like a grandmother).
How to Qualify:
# Your gross income (before taxes) must not be more than the Family Medicaid (FM-O) income limit for your family size.
# If you pass the gross income test we then look at your income with certain deductions taken out, such as a $90 work allowance, and child care expenses.
# The children must lack at least one parent's support due to one of the following:
# Death
# Absence
# Inability to work
# Primary Wage Earner (the parent who earned the most in the last 2 years) is unemployed or working less than 100 hours a month.
# You must be below the asset limit:
# 1 person - $2,000
# 2 people - $3,000
# Each additional person add $25
Transitional Benefits:

If you receive Family Medicaid (FM-O) and your income goes over the income limit, you may be able to get more months of Family Medicaid: up to 4 months if the income increase was caused by child support and up to 24 months if it was caused by earned income.
