Solving the Diabetes Problem in Health Care Systems

Research shows high glucose levels affect the body’s ability to heal. This results in more complications, longer hospital stays, and increased healthcare costs. But with early detection and effective treatment, it is possible to speed the healing process, reduce complications and change lives.

What do we do?

On November 7, 2008, Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma
City, Oklahoma received from The Joint Commission:

Advanced Certification in Inpatient Diabetes
and
Certification in Hyperglycemia—the first hospital in the nation
to receive this certification
