Mental health is very important in people with known health problems. This is especially true for diabetics. Depression, anxiety and stress can all cause changes in blood sugar levels and how the body processes insulin. This means that blood glucose levels can change depending on mood or situation. This means more frequent testing may need to be done and that insulin doses may have to be adjusted.
