Duetact (glimepiride and pioglitazone): Duetect is prescribed for diabetics who have Type 2 diabetes to help control blood sugar levels. Duetact is a combination of two different diabetes medications, Actos and Amaryl. Actos helps the body make better use of its insulin and Amaryl helps the pancreas make more insulin; both help lower blood sugar.
