Camp Cosmo is an adventure camp for youth with type I diabetes. The camp, which is sponsored by Regional West Foundation, offers a residential camp for youth 10 to 16 years old. This camp provides a variety of activities at Cedar Canyon Camp and around the Black Hills. It is an experience of fun, learning and friendships.

For more than 20 years, children with Type I diabetes have been learning about their disease in a fun and relaxed environment at Camp Cosmo; over 40 youths experience a hands-on interactive approach to problem solving and managing their diabetes at the camp each year.

The camp focuses on providing educational sessions that will cover a variety of the latest topics in diabetes management including insulin pumps, nutrition, risky behaviors and other topics of interest expresses by the campers.

Camp Cosmo is held at Cedar Canyon Wesleyan Camp in Rapid City, South Dakota during June each year. Transportation from Scottsbluff to Cedar Canyon Camp is provided.

Activities
Activities include sports (soccer, Frisbee golf, basketball, etc), waterslides, archery, cave tours, campfires, a challenge course and so much more! Plus, the chance to visit attractions located in Rapid City.

Facility & Staff
Cedar Canyon Wesleyan Camp is a beautiful camp located in Rapid City, South Dakota. Facilities include a main cabin with full kitchen, air conditioned cabins, dining hall, central bath and recreation activities. The camp is staffed 24 hours a day by medical practitioners, registered nurse and trained counselors.
