Camp Holiday Trails is open to any child with special health needs within or outside the U.S. The majority of our Campers come from the Mid-Atlantic states. Our Campers have diverse diagnoses such as arthritis, asthma and other respiratory conditions, cancer, diabetes, epilepsy and other seizure disorders, heart disease, immunodeficiency-including HIV, kidney disease, obesity, organ transplants, urological disorders and more.
Our Professional Advisory Committee evaluates each camper application individually to ensure our capacity to provide for the medical needs of the individual Campers. In some cases a Camper's primary care provider may need to be contacted for additional information.
We want to welcome all eligible children but due to the hilly terrain and challenging environment of our Camp, we have a limited number of spaces for children with mobility challenges. Children in wheelchairs or on crutches and children who suffer from fatigue use the Camp golf carts and a lower staff:Camper ratio to ensure they can fully participate in the Camp experience. "What we do for one, we do for all!"
