The Diabetes Clinic at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin is one of the largest in the country serving more than 1,700 children with Type 1 (juvenile) and Type 2 diabetes and their families.

* Outpatient insulin education for newly diagnosed patients.
* Basic diabetes education.

* One-on-one visits by a physician, nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist and social worker.

Research
Our staff also is committed to ongoing research to improve the care of children with diabetes. The Max McGee National Research Center for Juvenile Diabetes was created in November 1998 to help find a cure for diabetes. Former Green Bay Packer Max McGee and his wife, Denise, pledged $1 million to launch funding efforts for the research center.
