About Diabetes
Diabetes publishes original research about the physiology and pathophysiology of diabetes mellitus. Submitted manuscripts can report any aspect of laboratory, animal, or human research. Emphasis is on investigative reports focusing on areas such as the pathogenesis of diabetes and its complications, normal and pathologic pancreatic islet function and intermediary metabolism, pharmacological mechanisms of drug and hormone action, and biochemical and molecular aspects of normal and abnormal biological processes. Studies in the areas of diabetes education or the application of accepted therapeutic and diagnostic approaches to patients with diabetes mellitus are not published.

How can I get permission to use copyrighted material from the journal?
Please send a fax or an e-mail to the permissions editor, Alison Favors, at (703) 253-4870 or permissions@diabetes.org. Include the full citation for the material you wish to use and complete information about the intended use. In most cases, permission requests will be processed within 5 to 10 business days.
How can I order reprints?
Commercial reprint orders (quantities of 100 or more) should be directed to Cadmus Professional Communications Reprint Services, toll-free (888) 853-3951, direct line (410) 691-6274, or reprints2@cadmus.com.
Individual or small-quantity reprints (quantities of 1-99) can be ordered by clicking "Purchase This Article" to the right of the online version of an article.
