Diabetes Education and Management

The Diabetes Education and Management Program is designed to help people manage their diabetes, whether they have been newly diagnosed or living with diabetes for many years. We assist those with type 1, type 2 or gestational diabetes, and even those who are interested in diabetes prevention.

Our mission is to improve the quality of life for people with diabetes, reduce complications and suffering and contribute to the prevention and cure for diabetes. This is accomplished through a multidisciplinary approach, giving individuals and their families the tools, skills, knowledge, courage and support needed to manage their diabetes.

Outpatient appointments are available for individuals seeking one-on-one consultation, medical nutrition therapy, intensive insulin therapy, insulin pump training, those with special needs and education for children with diabetes.

We offer Diabetes Education Classes each month in a four-week series and which are billed to your insurance. We also offer a Diabetes Prevention Class once a month (attend only one session) which costs $20.

Topics include:

What you should know about diabetes
