by Sean Busby on March 12, 2008

Professional Snowboarders Mike Trapp (Hyannis, MA), Eric Haskins (Spokane, WA), and Zach Studzinski (Park City, UT) will join professional snowboarder and type 1 diabetic, Sean Busby, at this year's "National Camp" in Oregon on April 11-13, 2008.

What is Riding on Insulin's National Camp?
Beginning April 11, 2008 the Diabetes Sports and Wellness Foundation will host the first Riding on Insulin National Camp. Diabetics of all ages along with family members and friends will have the opportunity to join Sean Busby at Mt. Hood, Oregon to learn to better manage their diabetes in a winter sports environment. Riding on Insulin National Camp will be based around similar formats seen at the regional overnight Riding on Insulin camps throughout the country which includes snowboarding instruction and diabetes education. However, other accomplished pro riders will be stopping in and volunteering their time to work with all riders in a format to progress individual skills in the sport of snowboarding. National Camp is a celebration to the end of the 07/08 North American Riding on Insulin camping season and will highlight the regional camps of this season.

Riding on Insulin National Camp presents the opportunity to snowboard with today’s future Olympians, video stars, and professional athletes.
With low coach to camper ratios, Riding on Insulin National Camp is fully committed to providing some of the best coaching programs possible. All of our caring staff and coaches consist of volunteers. They are dedicated to helping you progress beyond your expectations and accomplish your goals.

Want to get that corked 5 down or just down the hill?
Coaching will be provided to all levels of riding from beginners to expert. Riding on Insulin National Camp pro riders specialize in all disciplines including halfpipe, boardercross, freestyle, and alpine racing. All coaches will provide instruction in the morning followed by optional afternoon clinics in the afternoon. For our advanced riders, we will introduce video analysis to analyze your riding at the end of the day. All campers will be provided with camper progress cards to evaluate individual riding strengths. Come join us this Spring as we ride the Oregon glacier and celebrate another great year!
