About Us
The Diabetes Monitoring Forum is a group of diabetes healthcare professionals who came together with the aim of helping people with diabetes better understand the role of blood glucose and ketone monitoring in diabetes management.

The Diabetes Monitoring Forum
Over an 18 months period the Diabetes Monitoring Forum developed a series of glucose monitoring advice leaflets. Each leaflet is tailored to different treatment regimens and provides patients with clear advice about the ÎwhysÌ and ÎwhensÌ of blood glucose monitoring. The leaflets were developed to help patients monitor their blood glucose appropriately and to use these measurments to improve self-care.

A series of seven leaflets has been produced. The series consists of information for people:
* Managed on diet and exercise alone
* Taking metformin alone or in combination with pioglitazone or rosiglitazone
* Taking a sulphonylurea, repaglinide or nateglinide alone or in combination with other oral medication
* Managed on once daily long-acting insulin plus a sulyphonlyurea or metformin
* Managed on twice daily insulin
* Managed on multiple daily insulin
* Who are parents of a young child being treated with insulin twice daily.

You can print off copies of the leaflets by registering with the site. Once you have registered you will need to login each time to get access to the leaflets.
