Event Information
This was an excellent ride! Over the years I have done just about every local ride and again, this one was about the best - the pre-ride and day of ride events, markings and information was all top-notch!
From a 2008 Rider Survey

JOIN THE RIDE THAT EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT!
Enjoy the beauty of the Sonoran Desert in spring as you ride one of three routes designed to accommodate and challenge all levels of cycling abilities!

The Tour de Cure is for EVERYONE! Riders of all abilities are invited to raise funds and ride to fight the epidemic of diabetes. Whether you are in training for a big ride or riding in your first organized cycling event, we have a ride for you.

After joining fellow cyclists for a breakfast of bagels, muffins, fruit and coffee, you will embark on your choice of route:

The NEW 10-mile route is a family and novice-friendly ride that will take riders through the quiet residential neighborhoods northeast of REACH 11 Sports Complex. This route will keep riders east of Cave Creek Road.

The 35-mile and Metric Century (62.5 miles) routes head northwest on roads taking you away from everyday traffic. The Metric Century will pass through the beautiful communities of Anthem, New River and Desert Hills. These routes have been modified slightly from the 2008 Tour de Cure for rider safety.

All routes were created by experienced cyclists to provide a safe and memorable riding experience for all participants. Click here to download the Route Information.

Riders will be supported by an enthusiastic team of volunteers at rest stops every 8 - 10 miles, featuring an array of rider-friendly food and beverages, and SAG (Support and Gear) vehicles along all three routes. At the Finish Line Party, our celebration will feature entertainment, music, exhibits, massages and lunch!
