Event Information
Attention all cyclists! The Kansas City Tour de Cure has a brand new location in 2009! Expect a thrilling day as you start and finish your ride at the Kansas Speedway! Several routes will be offered, including a Family Ride around Daytona Drive! Enjoy lunch, a sports massage and check out the various vendors and activities during the Fitness Festival. All ages are welcome. Children will be bouncing around on the moonwalk and even getting their faces painted. There will also be a special guest appearance! Check our site regularly, as route specifics and more info will be posted in the coming months. The first 100 people that register by December 12, 2008 will receive a FREE Tour de Cure In-Training T-shirt.
Announcing the Red Rider Program. All participants with type 1 or type 2 diabetes who raise the required minimum will be given an official Red Rider Jersey. Wear your jersey proudly at the event to inspire everyone—you are why we ride!
Money raised for the American Diabetes Association benefits diabetes research and information programs, including our camp for kids with diabetes, and advocacy efforts.
Remember, every 20 seconds someone is diagnosed with diabetes.The mission of the American Diabetes Association is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

Registration & Fund-Raising Information
Our early bird registration fee of $15.00 will be in effect until March 20, 2009. After that, your registration fee will be $25. All cyclists must raise the minimum of $150 to participate, in addition to the registration fee. Registration fees do not count towards the fund-raising minimum and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Encourage a minimum of four colleagues, friends and family members to join you during this Tour de Cure! To form a team, click the "Form" or "Create a Team" button atop this page.
Tour de Cure is a series of fund-raising cycling events held in 40 states nationwide to benefit the American Diabetes Association.
The Tour is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for everyone from the occasional rider to the experienced cyclist. Whether participants ride 10 miles or 100 miles*, they will travel a route supported from start to finish with rest stops, food to fuel the journey and fans to cheer them on!
Last year, more than 32,000 cyclists in 78 Tour events raised nearly $13 million to support the mission of the ADA: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
