Event Information
The North Shore Tour de Cure loops past some of the most beautiful scenery of all New England rides, with vistas of coves, harbors, islands and lighthouses. All routes start and finish at the Gloucester High School and include rolling hills and some challenging road conditions. While we are not insisting on hybrid or mountain bikes on the Tour, we are asking that all cyclists be aware.

All of the routes are fully supported by Tour de Cure Rest Stops and on-the-road Support and Gear (SAG) Vehicles. These volunteers are experienced and trained to assist in maintaining fun and safe conditions for riders. Lunch is provided for cyclists and volunteers and will be served from 12pm 2pm.

After the hardest part is over, the North Shore Tour family comes together to enjoy the post-ride fun. There will be live music, food and local vendors all there collaborating in this truly local event. Family members and friends are encouraged to come enjoy the festivities.

Tour de Cure is a series of fund-raising cycling events held in 40 states nationwide to benefit the American Diabetes Association.

The Tour is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for everyone from the occasional rider to the experienced cyclist. Whether participants ride 10 miles or 100 miles*, they will travel a route supported from start to finish with rest stops, food to fuel the journey and fans to cheer them on!

Last year, more than 32,000 cyclists in 78 Tour events raised nearly $13 million to support the mission of the ADA: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
