Foundation Overview

Affecting over 1.4 million Floridians and more than 20 million Americans, many of whom remain undiagnosed, diabetes drastically impacts the health of our nation. With the challenging mission of preventing diabetes and its complications through a coordinated multi-disciplinary approach of health promotion, patient education, professional training, treatment and research, the Florida Hospital Diabetes Institute represents one of the largest and most comprehensive centers completely dedicated to the treatment and research of diabetes. The Institute has over 40,000 patient visits annually and the numbers continue to grow. For those who are stakeholders of cutting-edge treatment, as well as a cure, in this special field of care, the pledge begins today with the creation of an extraordinary resource for our community, our state, and our nation.
