NovoLog Mix 70/30: NovoLog Mix 70/30 is a combination of rapid-acting insulin and intermediate-acting insulin used to lower blood sugar levels in type 1 and type 2 diabetics. It is injected twice daily usually within 15 minutes before morning and evening meals. Patients need to be aware of and know how to recognize low blood sugar symptoms. In order to prevent serious side effects, monitor your blood sugar levels with a glucose monitor while you are using insulin or other diabetic medications. Many health insurance plans will cover the cost of a glucose monitor.
