Diabetes Fundraising – Arkansas: Arkansas participates in yearly national campaigns and local events for diabetes research. In addition to research, the funds raised provide support programs for diabetics and their families that teach nutrition and healthy food preparation, Type II prevention, and how controlling their blood sugar level can help prevent diabetes complications like chronic renal failure or cardiovascular disease.
