Diabetes Fundraising – Connecticut: Connecticut participates in national campaigns and local events for diabetes research. In addition to research, the moneys raised provide support programs for diabetics and their families that teach them nutrition and healthy food preparation, Type II diabetes prevention, and how blood sugar control can help prevent diabetes complications like chronic renal failure or cardiovascular disease.
